The ongoing invasion has forced families to flee or join the armed forces to protect Ukraine while shelling and temporary occupation has annihilated vineyards. The threat of losing their 2,500 year old winemaking culture, traditions, and way of life looms large. Gayle and her company, along with her nonprofit, are committed to helping these families sustain their operations with the promise to rebuild their wineries in the face of adversity.
Gayle will discuss the current state of vineyards, wineries, and Ukrainian wine since the onset of the full-scale Russian invasion.
